My PATREON page has been retooled.  I will be producing a monthly comic called DOX.  It’s a sci fi time travel adventure.  I wrote it as a novel and I’m gonna draw it in a series of comics until I get to the end.  I have no idea how long that will take.  They will be available for my $5 and above supporters on my Patreon page as  a link to the pdf book.  When I get enough I will put them into a trade graphic novel and print it but until then only the Patreon supporters can read it.

I will also be writing short horror stories for a Horror collection series that I’m doing.  As I write the short stories they will be available there also as a pdf with a link provided to find it.  I will print that book when I get enough stories for it.

I will also be putting out humor graphic novel comics.  These will have a pdf of them linked to the Patreon page for the supporters to read before they go to print.

So much time and so little to do…. no … strike that… now reverse it… there we go.

Later my nerdlings.

Block Printing

March 5, 2017

Over the last few years I have gotten back into block printing.  Basically you take a lino block and draw a design and then carve it out with some carving tools.  Then you take some ink with a roller and roll on the block and press it onto the paper.  Occasionally you may have some blood mixed in with the ink… I suggest cutting away from your other hand.  Really, I have the scars to push this point home.

I decided to do a chicken print in celebration of my comic character’s HERMAN THE PSYCHOTIC CHICKEN’s 33rd years since I created him.  So I decided to make 33 prints only.  So they will be numbered 1/33 to 33/33 like you do when labeling prints.  I will actually be making 66 prints in all… 33 will be in black and white and 33 will be hand painted with water colors.  And they will be avaliable for only $33 for the pair.  But only 33 people will be able to get them.  If you’re interested in this limited print then you can email me at and see if they’re all gone yet.  Here’s the first one painted.

Also if you ever want to watch me making my art and comics I live stream it on my twitch channel at  .  Be sure to check it out sometime.

Free stuff is always good.  Am I right or am I right?  I’ve been putting comics on the web for free for years.  I’m still gonna be doing that but I’ve retooled how I’m gonna be doing it I tells ya what.

Every THREE MONTHS there will be a free comic on my ISSUU site.  The first one is there now, ZACK THE ZOMBIE HUNTER.  It is a humor comic.  It came out at the end of January.  The first MISSISSIPPI ARTS & CULTURE magazine came out at the end of December of 2016.  I will be putting out 4 comics each year and 8 issues of the magazine each year.  Every three months a comic and the two months between each will be the magazine.  AND IT’S FREE.  It’s a pdf that you can read online or download.  I sell ads to make it free but , hey, IT’S FREE.  Woo Hoo.

At the end of April the next comic will be coming out.  ZACK was 30 pages but I plan the rest of the comics to be around 100 to 150 pages.  Actual humor graphic novels.  Due to size restraints each book may be split into four parts BUT i will release them ALL at the SAME TIME.  No waiting.  You will get the full story all at once.  The next comic will be SPACE REDNECKS : THERE GOES THE GALAXY.

The magazine will have articles about artists and events in, around, and near Mississippi.  Also, I plan to start a ongoing serial comic strip starting in the March Issue.  It’s gonna be cool I tells ya.  Spread the word.  Tell your family, tell your friends, heck… tell your enemies too.  They may even like you more after you share this awesome news with them.  I will try to post here when I update but you can follow me at my ISSUU site and be alerted every time I put something up.

Get ready for some free comics and have a Bubbatastic Day.

January 1, 2017

Hello peoples.  I have a new collection book with all six of my main humor titles called BUBBAWORLD COMIX OMNIBUS VOL 2.  It is available HERE just click away.

I have been working on the ZACK THE ZOMBIE HUNTER book which is also a humor comic.  The cool thing is that it will be available for free as a PDF online for anyone to read that would like to.  It will be ready in mid to late January at so be sure to click there and follow me over there.  I will try to put out a humor comic ( usually a graphic novel size ) after this first one at least four times a year.  I’m doing my Monthly MISSISSIPPI ARTS AND CULTURE magazine there also.  It also afforded me a test run to check out the site.

My sci fi, horror , and adventure comics will still be for sale at my LULU page but as I start to sell ads in the PDF humor books I may be able to offer my print books cheaper.

I’m currently working ( literally right now ) on the second book of LIGHTS OUT for February .  Just click the name of the book for book one if you haven’t gotten it yet.  It is a horror comic.

In April, towards the end of the month I will be releasing SPACE REDNECKS : THERE GOES THE GALAXY on the site as a free PDF humor comic graphic novel.

There will still be updates at BUBBAWORLD COMIX main page of humor one shot gag comics also.

There is more to come and I hope yall have a happy new year.

I’ve been working on the New ZACK THE ZOMBIE HUNTER book.  It’s a humor comic about , well, a zombie hunter.  It has two stories with him and his sidekick Be-elza Boo Boo the demon.  It’s been fun working on this one.  I’m also about to start working on LIGHT OUT BOOK TWO of Five.  Landon McMinn ( the writer ) has is written,  I’ve just got to start laying out pages.  I want to have it done before Pensacon in Feb.  The BUBBAWORLD COMIX OMNIBUS VOL TWO is in my computer finished.  It just needs a cover and I can put it out.  My sci fi time travel novel DOX has been written for ten years.  I originally was going to use it as a manuscript to put out a series of graphic novels but never had the time so now it’s just coming out as a VERY illustrated novel.  I will be putting 151 illustrations in it actually.  That’s four books I’m working on at one time.  I have another waiting to start as soon as I get these , or some of these, done.  I’ve just counted and didn’t even realize that I had 13 books that I’ve self published.  Mostly humor, some horror.  I’ll post a list here then I have to get back to the drawing board.  I literally will be going to the drawing board…. I’m a CARTOONIST! YAY!  Yall have a Bubbatastic day why don’t ya.

“I’ve just decided to switch our Friday schedule to Monday, which means that the test we take each Friday on what we learned during the week will now take place on Monday before we’ve learned it. But since today is Tuesday, it doesn’t matter in the slightest. Pencils ready!”  Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory quote.

The only constant in the Universe is Change…. and my underwear…. and Change is coming to the BUBBAWORLD COMIX site , I tells ya.
For centuries ….. well maybe not centuries , although it feels like centuries, not that it’s a bad thing , just saying… for a long time now I have been doing six comic strip titles.  Originally when it was a paper it was six pages with each title a full page.  Then I made it four pages and each title got half a page with one title getting a full page.  Then I changed again…. I went to the interwebs.  It became a web comic.  I was updating six days a week.  That’s a lot for a web cartoonist.  A different title for each day of the week.  Then I had to take side jobs that became full time jobs and I made a new change.  I went to three updates a week, still pretty good, and did three titles one week and three titles the next week.  All this I was putting out collection books of the strips too.
Now the time for Change has come again.  Having six titles on one page makes the archives a little difficult.  I had six archive pages, one for each title, that held about ten strips each.  Then I created six wordpress sites for the full archives of each strip.  All six titles are humor strips and have one shot gag strips but each one of them has ongoing stories also.  With each title updating twice a month it’s a little hard to keep up with whats going on.  If it takes three or four strips to advance a story then you’re looking at it taking six to eight weeks to read that story while doing the same with five other titles.
Here is the Change.  I will be dropping all six titles on the BUBBAWORLD COMIX webpage and replace it with a one shot humor gag strip.  It won’t involve regular characters and will not have ongoing storylines.  Do not fear, the six original titles are not going anywhere.  They will become books.  I have a collection book that will be released in the upcoming weeks and more strips for a second collection book.  After that each title will have it’s on long base story in book form.  Around fifty pages or so which will be around a hundred strips.  Two strips per printed page.  The page count depends on how the story goes.  Hopefully I can come out with a book every couple of months and all the titles will be represented within the year.  I could never stop doing these titles, they are like my children…  they’ve just hit puberty and need to grow into something different , hopefully something better.
Two weeks and one day.  That’s how many updates of the old way will happen before the new Changes take place.  These are the last seven strips That I had written so I’m drawing them before switching over.  Until then, I’ll see ya in the funny pages.

P.S.  I will still be updating the six archive pages on wordpress with the new strips so those sites will still be active, and will announce books on those sites when the times come.

Who’s got three thumbs and is currently working on a ZACK THE ZOMBIE HUNTER humor comic special AND is putting together another hardback book collection of his comic strips.  Me , that’s who.  Oh, by the way if any of you have lost a thumb recently I think I may have found it.

First off , I do six humor title comic strips regularly at my BUBBAWORLD COMIX site and archive each one on it’s own WordPress site.  But occasionally I will do a special of sorts.  I’ve done one ZACK THE ZOMBIE HUNTER special in the past and now I’m working on ZACK THE ZOMBIE HUNTER AND THE OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE VAMPIRE.  Fun fun fun I tells ya.  I wrote this one a while back but now I have the time to draw it.  I may write a few more stories and just release it in a hardback book instead of putting it online.  I put enough online with me other comics that you can get an idea of what I do and how I do it.

Then there’s the new collection book I’m putting together.  I could go ahead and finish it now but there are a few more CAPN’ GEEZER strips that I want to come out and be in the book so as not to chop off the end of a story arc.  This will be a collection that takes all six titles and divides them up into chapters.  It may be around 120 or 125 pages.  It will probably cost around twenty dollars which aint bad for a hardback book that size.

Each year I have been known to do a special around the Halloween time called TALES FROM THE APPLIANCE GRAVEYARD.  It usually takes the six main titles and crosses them over into a humor Halloween story.  This year will be a little different though.  Instead of doing it as an ongoing comic for a month that takes over the website I’m going to do a low budget animation on the youtubes type of thing.  It may only involve one of the titles also.  I can hardly wait to get around to doing this.  Stay tuned for more funness from the BUBBAWORLD COMIX and I’ll see ya in the funny pages.

September 25, 2014

I get to be a full time cartoonist again, I tells ya.  I recently changed to a job that is only one day a week but will pay my bills so I can spend more time on my art and comics.  I of course have the BUBBAWORLD COMIX website for my six humor comics but I keep the archives of each title here on wordpress sites.

MY WORDPRESS COMICS ARCHIVE SITES  / they will update regularly every 2 weeks, staggered

Keep an eye out for updates.  I’m currently getting each title updated and caught up so they should start updating every two weeks.  Of course that means there will be a new comic of some sort at least three times a week now.

See ya in the funny pages.

September 10, 2013

I’m a web cartoonist.  I use to put my comics in a newspaper that I self published.  It was four pages and I put it on store counters and stands for people to pick up for free in my county and surrounding counties.  You may wonder how I was able to do this.  Well it was done with advertisers.  The advertising paid for the printing and paid me…. sort of.  I had to take care of some ill family members at the same time so I put the paper to the side after doing it for four years.  I tried to bring it back but the economy was just too bad to succeed with it again.  But I have my comics on the web.  It’s own website and everything.  It was way cheaper than printing it out on paper every month.  I even kept a few customers online advertising with me.  I have a regular job too and it eats up most of my time and I injured my drawing hand there too.  I didn’t draw for four months and have just started back within the last couple of weeks.  The website is BUBBAWORLD COMIX.  I do six humor strips.  They use to come out every day Monday thru Saturday.  While I’m getting my hand better ( I may be drawing with it but I still have to use a brace ) I’m doing three titles one week and three titles the next.  I will be alternating them like that every two weeks so I can still keep doing all six titles till I get a little ahead or my hand quits hurting.

I was charging $30 an ad on the site per month.  With 20 or 25 advertisers I could have my business in full bloom again.  That’s cheaper than the paper ads but I still think it’s too much.  So I have decided to make them $10 a month.  That means for $120 you can have an ad in my comics archives for a whole year.  Each comic has a page on my website with about 15 comics for that title with ads down the side of the page beside them.  I don’t keep a full archive on the website, that’s what my wordpress sites are for.  So the archives are constantly changing on the website.  $120 will barely get you a week or two in a regular newspaper.  Now if you are an artist, writer , novelist, or cartoonist trying to find cheap ways to promote your books or websites then this would be it.  If you’re an independent book store owner or comic book shop that can handle online sales this would be good for you.  There are systems out there with automated ads on sites and your not sure what you are paying and have to keep a close eye on it.  Then there’s also the ad blocking programs that cut those  very ads out of being seen by half the people going their.  I’m low tech.  I make the ads as jpegs and I link the jpegs to the sites.  Ad blockers see them as part of the actual website instead of an ad to be blocked.

Why not check out the BUBBAWORLD COMIX and see if it’s a place that you might like to advertise.  If I can get 80 advertisers then I can make it.  I also believe it will be easier to find 80 people with ten dollars a month than 25 with thirty dollars a month.  If you know somebody that would find this interesting then by all means share this article with them.  Have a Bubbatastic day.
